Bus Transfers To and From Almeria Airport (LEI)

Almería Airport is located 9 km/5.6 mi east of Almería city center in south-east Spain. Once you have arrived at the airport, please remember to collect your luggage from the baggage claim area before proceeding to your chosen method of transfer from the airport. Transfer options include rental cars, taxis, and buses.

Bus Transfer at Almería Airport

Surbus linea 30 runs between Almería and Retamar which is located east of the airport, and the bus stops at Almería Airport, located approximately halfway in between the two locations. The bus stops at the airport going both directions.

Several of the stops along the way offer transfer options to other bus routes, local and long-distance, especially the stops on the Almería side of the route. The bus also stops at Estación Intermodal Almería, the Almería train station, where travelers can transfer to a train.

The bus stop is located on the right-hand side as you exit the Almería Airport Arrivals hall.

Bus tickets are purchased directly on the bus from the busdriver in as exact change as possible. The current fare for a single journey is 1.05€.

If you plan to use the local city buses during your visit to Almería it might be a good idea to purchase a 10 trip card, Bonobús "Ordinario de 10 viajes" con Transbordo, at the Surbus kiosk located on Federico Garcia Lorca Avenue once in Almería. It can not be bought directly on the bus, but it can be recharged on the bus. There is a 3€ deposit for the card to be paid together with the first charge of 5.20€ for the 10 trips. Free transfer from one line to another within a 1 hour period is included.

Bus Timetable at Almería Airport

The buses run all days of the year with the first bus departing in the morning and the last late in the evening. There are fewer departures on Saturdays than during the week, and fewer on Sundays than on Saturdays.

The journey between the airport and Almería takes around 35 minutes. The journey between Retamar takes 25 minutes.

Monday - Friday

From the Airport to Almería

The first bus departs the airport at 7.15 (am) and the last at 23.20 (11.20 pm) with departures every 35 minutes in between.

From Almeria to the Airport

Buses depart from Gregorio Marañón with the first bus leaving at 6.00 (am) and the last departing at 22.20 (10.20 pm). Buses depart every 35 minutes.

From the Airport to Retimar

The first bus departs from the airport at 6.25 (am) and the last bus leaves at 22.35 (10.35 pm), with buses departing every 35 minutes throughout.

From Retimar to the Airport

Buses depart from Residencial Alborán beginning at 6.50 (am) with the last departure at 23.15 (11.15 pm) with buses departing every 35 minutes in between.

The gap between the second to last and the last bus varies from the regular 35 minutes and is usually shorter.
