Taxi Transfers To and From Almeria Airport (LEI)

After arriving at Almería Airport (LEI), make sure to retrieve all of your luggage from the baggage claim area before continuing to locate your chosen transfer option. Options for transferring from the airport include rental cars, buses and taxis.

Taxis at Almería Airport

The taxi rank at Almería Airport is located right outside the Arrivals hall, on the right hand side. There is no need to make an advanced booking for a taxi, walk-ups are welcomed.

Make sure to have the address written down to show it to the taxi driver to make sure they get the right address, and it is also recommended to make sure they start the taximeter at the beginning of the journey.

If you have any complaints or claims remember to ask for the receipt before leaving the taxi once you have arrived at your location.

There are two taxi companies serving the airport's customers, Radio Taxi and Tele Taxi. The fares are regulated and will be the same whichever taxi company that serves you and your travel companions.

The fares have two levels, Fare 1 and Fare 2.

The journey time from Almería Airport to the center of Almería city is approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on the traffic at the time of the journey. The fare is usually around 20-25€ depending on the exact location of the journey, the amount of luggage and when the journey takes place as fares vary as stated below.

It is also possible to take a taxi to other destinations.

Fare 1 is applied from Monday to Friday between 6.00 (am) and 22.00 (10.00 pm).

Fare 2

Fare 2 is applied Monday to Friday from 22.00 (10.00 pm) to 6.00 (am), as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays (all times of day). It is also applied on Almería Fair days from 00.00 (midnight) on the first day until 23.59 (11.59 pm) on the last day, and from 00.00 (midnight) on December 24th until 23.59 (11.59 pm) on January 6th.

The fares may also include supplementing charges as follows:

For suitcases or pieces of luggage larger than 60 cm long there is an extra charge of 0.83€/each.

There is an additional one way airport - city fare, or city - airport fare of 4.81€

On December 25th and January 1st there is an extra charge of 2.07€ between 00.00 (midnight) and 8.00 (am).
