Almería Airport (LEI) in south-east Spain is a single terminal airport located 9 km/5.6 mi east of Almería city. Parking at Almería Airport

The General Car Park has 679 parking spaces. It is possible to make an advanced booking, but it is not necessary. The parking lot is located right in front of the airport terminal. It is covered and has security. For more information go to our parking page.

Transfers at Almería Airport

Drop-off - It is possible to drop off travellers in front of the terminal, but the better option is in the General Car Park as it is not allowed to park vehicles curbside.

Rental Cars - The car rental companies' have their cars parked in a section of the General Car Park. To return the rented vehicle, park it in this location, unless otherwise informed by the rental car company, before locating the company's desk in the Arrivals hall. Buses - Surbus linea 30 serves Almería city and Retamar (east of the airport) and buses depart both locations approximately every 35 minutes throughout every day of the year. Tickets are purchased on the bus.

Taxis - Taxis will drop off their customers in front of the departure hall. The journey from Almería will take around 20 minutes.

Trains and Coaches - Estación Intermodal Almería, the local train and bus station, is located in Almería. It is the destination for several medium and long distance routes, nationally as well as internationally. It is connected with the airport via Surbus linea 30 and taxi.

Barrier Free Assistance Service at Almería Airport

The airport offers a free assistance service, called Barrier Free Assistance Service, for travellers with limited mobility for a variety of reasons, including physical, sensory and old age, as well as for travellers who require special attention. Minors must be accompanied as it is not a care and custody service.

The service of assistance can be requested through the airline or the travel agency at the time of booking the ticket, or through Aena (website, app, or by calling (0034) 91 321 10 00. Requests have to be made at least 48 hours prior to the flight's scheduled time of departure, and the traveller has to be in place at least 2 hours prior to the departure time.

Smoking at Almería Airport

Smoking is not allowed inside the terminal building, but there is a big terrace with a nice sea view where travellers who have passed through the security control can have a cigarette while enjoying something to eat and drink before the flight.
